Is a Board-Certified music therapist based in Salt Lake City, UT. She received her Music Therapy degree from Utah State University and completed a 6-month internship with Expressive Therapies in Utah. During her internship, she had the opportunity to work with a variety of populations, including adults with developmental disabilities, hospice, and at-risk youth. Kasey also has experience working as a Registered Behavior Technician with children on the Autism Spectrum and became interested in applying music therapy with this population. Her personal philosophy and approach are client-centered and humanistic in nature. She strives to highlight each individual’s strengths, customizes sessions to the client’s preferences, and encourages engagement, curiosity, and autonomy within a treatment. Her primary instrument used in treatment is guitar, though she is competent in piano and incorporates various percussion and melodic instruments in sessions.
Kasey currently resides in Sandy, Utah. She enjoys hiking, skiing, camping, and spending time with friends and family. Aside from music therapy, she also continues to perform in local venues in the Salt Lake Valley.
